The third gastronomic day dedicated to the croquette that will be held from March 14 to 17 arrives in Madrid. For four days more than 20 bars and restaurants in the area will prepare different versions of this traditional and exquisite dish that can be eaten as a tapa to dine.
These days are held as a celebration of the tenth anniversary of the traders association of triBall. The diner can taste from the most traditional croquettes, the “grandmother’s”, made of ham, stew or cod, to the most modern versions, such as chori-papa criollas with Mexican seasoning in La Lonchería (Corredera Baja de San Pablo , 49), of white prawn in 7 CRAFT BAR (in the 7 Islas Hotel, Valverde, 14) or of calçots with Romesco sauce in Taberna Agrado (Ballesta, 1).
Those who choose more traditional flavors can not miss the flavors of Serrano ham croquettes from Bar Sidi (Colón, 15) or those of old potted or boiled clothes in La Jauría or La Mucca & Ñam Ñam (Pza. Carlos Cambronero, 4 ). Also another small delicacy are those of cod, which can be tasted in Malpica (Corredera Baja de San Pablo, 4) or in La Prensa bar (Miguel Moya, 4).
In addition to this complete tour of all the varieties of this dish so typical of Madrid, you can enjoy concerts, exhibitions, guided tours and many more activities. On the 15th, almost 25 exhibitions will be inaugurated and you can also enjoy artistic and cultural events in the streets by more than 60 artists of varied disciplines.
